Jenniffer Weigel
Jenniffer Weigel is the author of Stay Tuned, Conversations with Dad from the other side and recently performed in her own one woman play, “I’m Spiritual Dammit”. The play covers her spiritual journey to make contact with her dead father, who was a well known sports broadcaster in the Chicago area, is based on her book, Stay Tuned.
Jenniffer Weigel is an Emmy Award winning Broadcaster from Chicago. She currently runs JWC Productions, creating entertainment programs and stories for television, as well as her website www.staytunedwithjen.com She is the host and Executive Producer for the food and lifestyle show, TASTE, which airs on NBC in Chicago.
Jenniffer’s broadcasting career started in radio, where she was teamed up as a sidekick for radio personalities such as Jonathan Brandmeier, Danny Bonaduce, Steve Cochran, and movie critic Richard Roeper. She then moved into to television, reviewing movies and filing entertainment reports for superstation WGN for three years before moving over to CBS news. She spent three years at CBS affiliate WBBM-TV in Chicago as an anchor and reporter, where she was honored with an Emmy Award in 2000 for her on-camera reporting. Jenniffer co-hosted a weekly show on WLS-AM radio for two years before moving over to WGN-AM.
She travels the country speaking to women’s groups, schools, and other media about ethics in journalism, and encouraging people to follow their dreams. Her writing has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, and the Chicago Sun Times, as well as Today’s Chicago Woman, where she was an entertainment columnist for two years.
She is an accomplished singer, and performed the National Anthem at both Wrigley Field and Comiskey Park.
